We have this faucet I believe, that the builder just put in. Unfortunately he put this one in instead of Oil Rubbed Bronze we asked for. Is there a faucet that can be switched out that matches the roughed in parts?

What does the trim plate screw into? The valve itself? or do I Need to drill holes? Will be installed over tile surround. The faucet we have is already installed and brand new.

Can Classic Monitor 13 Series Valve trim replace the discontinued Model 602 trim?

I want to update an existing installation of model 602 single valve trim with Classic Monitor 13 series trim. Are the trims interchangeable, or are other parts needed. Thanks

Thank you for your question. The 600 series faucets use a different valve system than the 1300 series faucets and they are not interchangeable. However, we do manufacture a renovation kit for the 600 series to upgrade it. Delta Faucet model # RP54870 is available in Chrome, Venetian Bronze, and Stainless Steel. It includes everything except the showerhead, shower arm and flange, and a tub spout if it is needed.

temperature memory

Does this pressure balance valve have temperature memory? I am trying to find shower valves that have temperature memory, so that there is no need to explore temp setting every time it is turned on. Can you list those models that have this feature? Ideally ones that are available separate from the shower head. Thanks.

Hi JT, Thank you for your question. The model T13020 does not offer temperature memory. Our 17 series faucets offer both temperature and volume control. This will allow you to leave the temperature control at your desired setting and turn off the water volume. When you turn on the faucet volume the next time you use the faucet the water temperature should be the same. Model T17230 would be an example of this series. Thanks, Dave

Should the Monitor 13 single handled lever have a cover/button to cover the set screw in the handle? Seems as though the hole is getting soiled from water drying and sitting in the hole.

I'm trying to replace the trim on a Monitor 1300 that was installed in the early 90s. Is this compatible?

Hi, Sarah! Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T13020 Valve Trim Kit will fit the older 1300 Valve Body. The new trim kit does come with the RP46074 valve cartridge assembly. This cartridge will not fit the older 1300 valve body. The original RP19804 valve cartridge assembly will need to be used with the new trim kit. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have, what appears from the pictures, a Delta Monitor 13 shower valve at a weekend cottage on a well. Recently, I turned off the hot water supply to service the water heater and was surprised to find that the shower would not run any cold water.

I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this may have caused, however 13/14 series Monitor shower utilizes a pressure balance spool which works with both the hot and cold influx of water. The pressure balance spool inside the valve cartridge, requires both hot and cold water in order to operate correctly and will not work with only one side turned on. Best regards, Edward

Will this work with an old Delex model?

I believe Delex is an old division of Delta. My cartridge works fine, but the handle/trim needs updating. Is this trim and handle compatible? Image of the cartridge is attached.

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your question. You have a 1600 series tub/shower. Unfortunately, this trim will not work with your valve. To use a current trim kit, you would need to install an R10000 rough-in valve. My Delta T 13020-SS Classic Monitor 13 series faucet has been dripping almost since it was installed. In the first 4-5 years you could stop the drip by pressing hard on handle to close it. In the past six months I have been unable to stop the drip.

Have T13020 with lever handle . Mine has an extension from handle to cartridge which requires a longer screw . What length of screw . I believe it is a #10-24 UNC thread . I can’t find this screw in any of the views . I believe it is at least 1 1/4” long

I don't know the model but it looks like the Monitor 13 series valve. This is an old installation (more or less 20 years) and is leaking. A friend suggested that the valve cartridge needs replacement. I so, what valve cartridge do I need? Please advice.

I have the T13020 installed by a plumber ,very happy with it but , I would like to adjust the hot water .I need more heat to relax in my shower and tub I have both.in seperate stalls.it is set up for medium temp.not warm enough for me.due to chronc pain.

What is the difference between BT13010 and T13020?
