Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product, Review by Licensed Plumber Standard Issue 1700 series trim kit. Installed in my home. Licensed plumber of 21 years. I only install Delta faucets and valves in my home. I prefer this model over some of the more costly square trims because it does not have the metal backing plate, and installs like the round trim plates. Don’t forget to water based latex silicone the top 3/4’rs of the trim and wait two days before use. This will keep any water from entering your wall and hold the plate in place more then the two screws provide. (Of Note, this trim will work for older square notch 1700 series cartridges as well but comes with the modern V notch 1700 cartridge.)

Love the look of this trim and want to use it in my tub/shower combo. My builder says I MUST get the Ashlyn package with matching spout and shower head. I'm not a fan of how those look. Is he right, or can I get different style of spout and shower head?

Will a 17 Series trim fit a 14 Series installation?

I have a 14 Series Multichoice valve body in my shower. Can I install a 17 Series (cartridge) trim in the 14 Series valve body?

Hi Delta4, Thank you for your question! In March of "2006" we manufactured a universal valve body model R10000-UN that allows any of our current trims to interchange. If you have the universal valve you will be able to change your 13/1400 series with one control for volume and temperature to our 17 series that has separate volume and temperature control. However, if your unit was installed or manufactured prior to March of "2006" you have an older valve body and will not be able to change your trim to our dual control trim. You will only be able to use any current T13 or T14 series trim but will not be able to use the new universal valve cartridge that comes with the new trims. Best regards, Brandis

This trim has 2 handles.  One for pressure control and one for temperature.  It is a dual control, correct?  Ferguson website says it is non-thermostatic.  Are they correct?

What valve do I need to go with T17064 trim? I have purchased Delta hand held shower 51552 as well as 3 way diverted T11864 and a shower head RP53496

I also purchased the rough in for diverted R11000 3/6

comparing valve trim T17059 to T17064, 059 states it has volume control and Univ Valve and 064 does not. Does 059 include the valve? 064 appears to have volume control, but does it?

Hi, sdms! Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17059 and T17064 valve trims both have volume control. Neither include the Universal MultiChoice R10000 rough valve body as it is sold separately. The only difference between the two are the styles. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there an option to make the water temperature overall hotter?  I see there's a notch on there where you can't move it to the hottest setting.  I assume for safety reasons but wondered if there's a way to take that off like other ones.
