The box says 2497 LF. I was forced to register a 2497 LF AR. And, we'll see how it lasts. My old faucet was 25 years old before it failed.

Poor internal construction
I bought this faucet in Nov 2018. I loved the look--the Artic look was perfect with my sink and the style fit with my 100 year old home. Well, that is the outside, but underneath was lurking a catastrophe. A little over a year later, I am going to have to pay a plumber to replace the cartridges in the handles because I have an intermittent, but steady, drip that supposedly is caused by the wearing of the cartridge that controls the water. I was told by customer service that this cartridge could last 5 years or 5 months. NO ONE SAID THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT. I thought that I would have at least 10 years before I had a problem. I have softened water, so it is not debris ridden. Over the years I have had $25 faucets that never leaked and the water was hard then. This a $400 BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Easy install. Iooks great.
Faucet spout rotates to easy, not what I am used. Side hand sprayer hose is not flexible enough. Good finish. Hand sprayer has plenty of power to clean dishes.

Gorgeous!
Have only had this faucet for about a week, so I can't testify to its longevity yet, however, I toured many stores for too many days to find it.
Other faucets were flimsey, plastic, and not well made like it.
In today's low standards of products and servuces, it stood out as a quality well made faucet.

NOT WHAT I WANTED
I was looking for a kitchen faucet with a "Victorian" look like my bathroom fixtures by Delta,.couldn't find anything so I settled for this, ehh The aerator stinks it is very "spashy" . the standard old fashioned aerators were great I don't understand why you had to change to the ""cache" aerators they are horrible what a pain in the neck to change.

I purchased this faucet in April of 2018 and had it installed by a plumber in April.Since my old box store faucet did not work out it was my plumber who suggested Delta.
So now less than six months of installation IT LEAKS!
Why can't companies make reliable products?
Now I will have to double my original investment and have to call the plumber to fix the leak
Just not fair.

Nice Faucet; Unusual Torque
This is a nice high kitchen faucet. The spigot is much easier to turn than I am used to, so I have hit my kitchen windowsill a time or two. The handles are more difficult to turn than any I have ever experienced, though I don't think the strength required is excessive. The sprayer works well. I like the white hose. I also like that the on button is on the front (spraying) side of the handle. I am less likely to spray myself while retrieving the sprayer.

Love the faucet, love the looks, and easy installation. The one thing I can't figure out is under what circumstances would you want a spout to rotate 360 degrees for your kitchen faucet? Unless you had 2 back to back sinks or wanted to give your counter tops a surprise wash.

Great faucet except....
I would have given this 5 stars except for one feature: the faucet is so loose that it swings back and hits the wall when we move it from one side of the sink to the other. If the water is on, we have to be very careful because we can end up with water all over the countertop. The plumber who installed it said there was no way to adjust it.

Definitely a quality faucet that is very easy to install.
The Delta faucet was well package to prevent any damage. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Once the old faucet was out replacing it took less than 30 minutes to install. The only tools necessary was a wrench to tighten the water supply lines- the sprayer just snaps on and the faucet just screws into place with nuts that you hand tighten. Definitely a well crafted product that looks great.

I'm on my 2nd $300.00 delta faucet in 4 years this one started leaking from the pull out sprayer. They sent 2 different hoses neither had the correct attachment luckily I just needed to change out the handle. They look very nice but come on that's alot of $ for such a short life and the 2 wrong hoses cost over $50.00.

Delta 2497LF- What parts are non-metal? Is the sprayer head plastic? What is weight of product?

Our faucets use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. The spout assembly and the valve body is made of metal.

Where is the spec for deck thickness?
I don't see the deck thickness that this and other Delta faucets are for. Is that information provided somewhere? I've noticed that many faucets with escutcheons are limited to one inch or thereabouts of countertop thickness.

Can this faucet be mounted without the base plate?
Because of the sink set-up I have to mount the faucet spout at the right, and both handles to the left of the spout.

How do i get the it aerator off the faucet due to the fact that it's recessed? Is there a special tool for this?

Water in Socorro NM is very hard. I am considering the Vessona with a ceramic valve or the Cassidy with the Diamond valve. What is your recommendation for long leak free service in an area with hard water? Thank you
Thank you for your question, Beverly! Hard water unfortunately cant always be avoided. Luckily either model will hold up well against mineral buildup as a DST cartridge also utilizes ceramic discs which are both durable and self-polishing.

smaller handle for side sprayer
the handle for the side sprayer is too large and uncomfortable for my wife. is there a different side sprayer that would coordinate with faucet with a smaller handle?
