Love the finish on this faucet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a faucet to match the hardware of the cabinets in my kitchen and this champagne bronze was perfect. I already chose it for the bathroom I just had remodeled. Not as dark as the oiled bronze but not brassy either. The cabinets are in a light oak finish. The faucet was installed by a professional plumber, along with a new garbage disposal unit around June, 2016. I have had no problems with leaks, loose parts, or the finish rubbing off. It looks brand new and all the parts work great, even the sprayer. Looks clean and elegant and is high enough to put big pots in the sink and fill with ease.

BAD Faucet
I have all Delta faucet in my house for 8 years that work great and look great still. This last delta faucet I bought to replace a cheap faucet in my laundry room. This delta faucet is poorly built and feels like it will break easy. Wish I had returned it. Was not happy with the looks and quality. Should have listen to the reviews. Not Delta quality.

Great until it started leaking
I installed this faucet about 2-1/2 years ago. Installation was straight forward and went in without a hassle. I noticed it started leaking around the base of the neck about 3 months ago. I took the neck off and replaced the O-rings (I think they were size AS568-114) and put silicone faucet grease on. It helped minimally and I tolerated the leak which grew worse over time. Today I finally have to do something about it. I have water shooting up from the base of the neck to the extent it's no longer usable. I'm disappointed it only lasted 2-1/2 years. At this price point I expected a longer functional life. It appears there's enough room in the O-ring grove for a backup ring. I'm going to try that but I'm not optimistic.

Glad to find a 2 handle system
We had to replace a 2 handle faucet of another brand. They are getting harder to find. I like the high neck for cleaning large pans. The only thing I don't particularly like is the sprayer nozzle. It's a bit bulky to handle. Wish it was a bit slimmer to navigate rinsing out the sink. It just feels big and bulky.

This product has great features.
Best feature is this is a stainless steel fixture. The brushed chrome finish is so stylish. Handles work with a slight push of a finger - easy on and off. The installation was very simple. Plus lifetime warranty. My last Delta lasted 18 years. So I know Delta products are very durable. You won't make a mistake in buying this faucet.

my faucet work perfect when you turn it on it is as smooth as power steer you can equal out the hot and cold so easiest and the sprayer spry the water so hard that it would knock the paint off a car it knock the food off the plate so easiest and it was easiest to put in I don't no what those people were talk about that said it wasn't no good they didn't get the faucet I got or they didn't no what they were talk about

Sprayer was broken
The faucet looks nice and seems solid. However, once it was installed it was discovered that the sprayer would not shut off. There were no more in stock at the supply house where I bought the faucet so I had to request a new sprayer from Delta Customer Service. This meant if I wanted to use the faucet I had to purchase a temporary sprayer from the plumber who did the installation.
Customer service did send a replacement which I was able to install myself.
I'm happy with Customer Service since they sent a replacement without making a fuss. I'm not happy that I needed to contact them on day one.
One more thing - now that the faucet has been in for a few weeks I find that it drips randomly.

Cheap made aerator
I like the faucet system with exception to the faucet aerator. It appears to be cheaply made with plastic threads that can easily be cross threaded. I removed it with the wrench supplied with system to clean the filter & had a very difficult time getting aerator back into faucet & ended up stripping threads. Very disappointed this part could not be found at local hardware stores, so I had to order it. Also could not find an adapter that would fit into faucet.

Purchased this faucet and installed in our new home six years ago. It leaks around the faucet riser, the set screws on the handle are frozen and can't be removed. Handles are loose. Awful expensive faucet to have worn out so quickly. I wouldn't recommend it. It is going to have to be replaced.

Delta 2497LF- What parts are non-metal? Is the sprayer head plastic? What is weight of product?

Our faucets use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. The spout assembly and the valve body is made of metal.

Where is the spec for deck thickness?
I don't see the deck thickness that this and other Delta faucets are for. Is that information provided somewhere? I've noticed that many faucets with escutcheons are limited to one inch or thereabouts of countertop thickness.

Can this faucet be mounted without the base plate?
Because of the sink set-up I have to mount the faucet spout at the right, and both handles to the left of the spout.

How do i get the it aerator off the faucet due to the fact that it's recessed? Is there a special tool for this?

Water in Socorro NM is very hard. I am considering the Vessona with a ceramic valve or the Cassidy with the Diamond valve. What is your recommendation for long leak free service in an area with hard water? Thank you
Thank you for your question, Beverly! Hard water unfortunately cant always be avoided. Luckily either model will hold up well against mineral buildup as a DST cartridge also utilizes ceramic discs which are both durable and self-polishing.

smaller handle for side sprayer
the handle for the side sprayer is too large and uncomfortable for my wife. is there a different side sprayer that would coordinate with faucet with a smaller handle?
