RESEÑAS
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad design of interior parts This could be a nice simple faucet, except the plastic piece at the end of the pull-out handle quickly becomes impossible to fit back into its slot. This should be made out of a different material or redesigned to work after a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta's 470-DST faucet is Simple, Elegant&Sturdy. This is my third Delta 470-DST. I received a new faucet after 12 years on the first warranty and a replacement part for a warranty repair on the second faucet. I decided to get a brand new 470-DST faucet and pay for it's installation rather than installation of the part. I'll keep the part. The faucets are quality, well priced and the design works well in many kitchens. I recommend this faucet. Hard to get Chrome finish in Calif so I was lucky to find one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement. This faucet is an exact replacement (only w/DST) for one I have had in my kitchen that had been in service for 14-1/2 years. I am a retired Building Professional and I installed this faucet. The installation went well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Quality, Great Value Purchased this faucet because our old one was too tall and too long for our sink. This is a good option if you have a smaller basin and want to avoid getting water all over the counter. It can feel a bit short when washing large items, but it's great quality for the price and looks good.

470-DST Constant Drip

We were having a constant drip and purchased an off name repair kit from Home Depot (although Delta faucets were included as one of the brands it was for). My husband replaced most of the workings, but now it not only drips, but continues a tiny stream of water after turning it off unless you lift the handle at a certain degree and angle. So was the repair not done correctly, or is there something else we're missing?
Asked by: Cat
HI Cat, Thank you for your question! You will need to order and install genuine Delta parts. Even though it is stated on the package that it will work the generic parts will not. The are not manufactured exactly the same. Best regards, Brandis

What is the difference between the 470-DST and 472-DST kitchen faucets?

Asked by: Remmie
Hi, Remmie! Thank you for your question. The difference for the two units is within the handle, itself. The 470-DST has a solid metal lever handle. The 472-DST has a hollow loop in the handle which is ADA compliant so that the user can loop a ribbon through the handle so that the handle can be moved up and down and left and right in a sitting position if needed. Asked by: loritha
Hi Loritha, Thank you for your question. There have been some changes in the wand to the model 470 so that it complies with current state and federal drinking water legislation. The aerator, inner waterway, and connection point have changed. Thanks. Dave

Model # 470 DST -Wand

Model # 470 DST Located in the water inlet end of the wand is a removable cartage. The cartage is fitted with 3 O-rings. The water supply hose out-let screws into the cartage. Is this cartage and the (3) O-rings sold separately? If so, what are the parts numbers?

can I add a filter to my 470 DST? if so, how?

Asked by: prospero0130
Hi prospero0130, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to use a faucet mounted filter with any of our pull-out or pull-down faucets. However, you can use an under sink filtration system that accepts the 3/8" compression fittings on the supply lines. Best regards, Jon

How do you remove the old hose?

Underneath the faucet, I have removed the plastic clip. Then, I tried pulling directly down on the hose, but it will not budge. What is the proper technique for removing the hose from the faucet? In the attached photo, you can see where the metal covering of the rubber hose has fallen down. The rubber hose remains attached to a copper piece that is somehow attached to the base of the faucet. I need to remove that copper piece from the base of the faucet, in order to complete the repair.
Asked by: DTW
Hi DTW, Thank you for your question. Once the clip is removed there is nothing mechanical holding the hose to the faucet. You can use a pair of needle nose pliers placed at the top of the tubing to grab a hold of the fitting and remove. Thanks, Dave

Faucet won't connect a portable dishwasher. After MUCH research seems it requires a "Cache Faucet Adapter" (= male thread for recessed aerator area, /other end male for dishwasher connector)--So I need the aerator specs to order part. Please supply.

Asked by: Dean
Hello Dean, Thank you for your question. Connecting portable dishwashers to kitchen faucets must be done with care. None of our Delta pull out or pull down faucets are compatible with portable dishwashers. The connection puts too much stress on the hose, the wand and it's mounting. Best regards, Tanya

Wand Shutoff??

Does the pull out “wand assembly” have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the wand assembly?
Asked by: GrumpyGeezer
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 470-AR-DST has a handle on the back of the faucet. The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely. We do manufaucture touch faucets that can be shut off by touching the spout.

Asked by: Jkflip
Hi Jkflip, Thank you for your question. There is not a removable flow restrictor in the model 470-AR-DST. The flow rate is controlled by the aerator which on this model is 1.8 gallons per minute. You can switch out the aerator to one with a higher flow rate, the RP53998 flows at 2.2 gpm and will fit this model. Thanks, Dave http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp53998.html
