Rated 1 out of 5 by from Solenoid doesn't last 2 years I bought this faucet in 2018 and the solenoid has died every year or two since. Each replacement solenoid lasts a maximum of 2 years and now Delta says they won't replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT A FAN!! I was excited about the On/Off Activation but in reality it is terrible. It often randomly turns off when in use. (I imagine from water splashing up and "touching" it off.) The pressure is also not good at all. Then the battery dies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faucet Fixation I love my new faucet & hope it continues to perform longer than the 7 months our former Lowe’s products were lasting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Faucet Complete failure after four years. I had several issues with this faucet: 1. it ate batteries like crazy; 2. the magnets rusted out; 3. the touch feature finally stopped working; 4. and now the mounting base and screw rod completely rusted out and broke. At this point, the faucet is useless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Set and Forget This kitchen faucet is the "touch" type. My husband insisted on being technologically forward, so I went ahead and purchased this. It has taken a little bit of getting used to, but, all in all, it is an adequate faucet for my daily needs. The water stream seems to come from different places on the faucet head depending on when I use it. It's not a bothersome feature, just one that leads me to ask the question, "Why?" It does work as advertised. Touching the faucet with the back of my hand or grabbing the handle turns the faucet on and off. Grabbing the faucet will not. This is pretty sophisticated engineering from my perspective, and I am very satisfied with it. The only reason that I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is the fact that one must "set" the faucet handle in order to use the touch feature. I don't know how this can be engineered differently, and I think I would have been just as happy with this faucet if it were operated only by the handle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great customer service This Cassidy faucet came with a newly remodeled home we purchased so likely a brand new faucet. After nearly 6 years, the head of the hose would not spring back into position and was just hanging. I called Cust Svc and did not have to wait long on hold. They sent me a new part that was easy to install and problem solved. About a year later, the touch feature was not working right. Sometimes touching would not turn on. We changed the batteries but still having trouble. I called Cust service again and they walked me through disconnecting the sensor box under the sink and are sending me a new one. In the meantime, I can use the sauce without it. Very happy that they were so helpful, I didn't have to wait on hold at all, and are sending free replacement parts. The 4 star is for the device having so many issues. But they make up for it by having great Cust service. and free replacement parts.

Aerator part number for 9197T-RB-DST I need a new aerator

Asked by: Dave
Hi, Dave! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9197T-RB-DST Faucet sprayer assembly does not have a replaceable aerator assembly. If an aerator is needed, we recommend replacing the whole sprayer assembly. The sprayer assembly is part number RP72680RB or RP90839RB with ShieldSpray Technology Spray Setting. Here are links to the RP72680RB sprayer: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP72680RB Best Regards, Rosanna

I have low water pressure with cold water only. Just started coming out slower. Hot water flows our normal pressure. What could be the issue?

Asked by: JCSmith
Hi, JCSmith, Thank you for your question and I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing low flow with your Delta Faucet. The low flow you are describing is most likely the result of debris in your supply lines or faucet. Over time, common water debris will settle in the house supply lines. Anytime the water is shut off to a portion of the home, this debris can become dislodged and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. Local construction or the changing of the seasons can also cause this. Flushing the supply lines through the unit should remedy this situation. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. If you need further help with this process, please contact us directly and we can walk you through the procedure. We are available at 800-345-3358 (prompt 2, then 3), Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday, 9am to 6pm CST. Best Regards, Rosanna

Thinking about a cassidy 91977 faucet for existing installation. Have control hole and faucet hole, plus spray and soap dispenser hole Wish to know options for covering existing holes in champaign bronze.

Asked by: David
Thank you for your question, David! The 9197T-CZ-DST has an optional matching escutcheon plate, RP71545CZ that will fill three holes. Since this model has a pull down wand, it will not allow for a separate sprayer and would work with a soap dispenser off to the side. Otherwise, the RP3816 Hole Cover is the only cover that we make and unfortunately it is not available in Champagne Bronze. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP71545CZ Best regards, Edward

Can I bypass the automatic drip shut off so that I can leave a drip going during below zero temps outside? This would prevent my pipes from freezing.

Installation restrictions

We want to purchase a Delta Touch20 Technology kitchen faucet. We like the Cassidy, Trinsic or Pilar style. Our problem is the back splash is 2-1/8" from the vertical centerline of the faucet to the back splash. The back splash height is 6". The 2-1/2" base diameter of the faucet would not be an issue. My problem is all the technical drawings for these faucets state the minimum faucet centerline to back splash dimension is 2-1/2". Unless the faucet handles go backwards beyond vertical, I do not see why I could not install this faucet. Any thoughts.
Asked by: Mat
Good question, Mat, but you should be in luck! Although the installation might be marginally more difficult under the sink from the reduced clearance, it should work fine. This model features the Euro-Motion handle which only rotates forward to eliminate backsplash interference.

What is the correct replacement solenoid for this model with the AR finish?

Asked by: JCR1
Thank you for your question, JCR1! The part number for the replacement solenoid is going to depend on which solenoid you currently have, and when the faucet was first installed. Any 9197T-DST, that was purchased and installed prior to January 2018 is going to take an EP74855 solenoid. The numbers off the white sticker on the solenoid, will also tell you which replacement you would need. If the white sticker has numbers X00074950, you would need an EP74855 solenoid assembly. If the white sticker has numbers X00090218, you would need EP92546. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us directly. Best Regards, Benjamin

What does a solid red light mean when faucet is running

Asked by: Smitty
Hello Smitty, Thank you for your question. A solid red light on your Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Down 9197T-DST faucet, usually means that the solenoid valve is open, water temperature is greater than 110°F (43°C).The red, flashing light means the batteries need to be replaced at the battery pack. how long do the batteries last and what type was used

Can only batteries be used or do you have a transformer that can also do the job? Also, about how long is battery life using NiMh rechargeable, lithium, alkaline if never using the touch capability (i.e., longest life) and alternatively the average life for normal use?
Asked by: gar
Thank you for your question. Our touch faucets are recommended to be used with alkaline batteries for the longest life. They will usually last 1-2 years depending on the use of the faucet. There is not a way to hardwire the faucet into a transformer.

I just installed one of these in our kitchen and I notice that water doesn’t get hot even with the handle in full hot position. All lines have been connected properly, are full open, no leaks. Is there an internal limiter in this model that I can adjust?

Asked by: Frostbeard
Hi, Frostbeard! Thank you for your question. There is a limit stop on the valve cartridge assembly, located under the handle, that can be adjusted for hotter water. The diagram and directions for this can be seen on page 8, here: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00080320_C.pdf Here are the written directions: Setting The Handle Limit Stop (Optional) This faucet includes an integrated handle limit stop that has two positions. Position 1, to the left, allows full handle motion (the full range between “all cold” to “all hot”). The faucet is set in position 1 in the factory. Position 2, to the right, allows half of the normal handle motion (“all cold” to “mixed hot/cold”). The handle limit stop can be adjusted by the homeowner once the faucet is installed. Setting the handle limit stop in position 2 may help to prevent scalding because it limits the amount of hot water in the mix; however, this handle limit stop will not always prevent scalding because it does not compensate for incoming pressure or sudden water temperature changes. To change positions of the handle limit stop: remove the handle; move the valve stem to the all cold position so the water is on; change the position of the handle limit stop; turn off the water; reinstall the handle. Can you shut off the Touch technology and use as a regular faucet if the Touch is acting up or stops working?

I saw a lot of mixed reviews regarding this product. If the touch technology does act up, can you just use this faucet as a manual faucet or would you have to completely replace the faucet?
Asked by: Meredith
Dear Meredith, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Down 9197T-DST faucet can be used as a regular faucet. You would simply remove the batteries from the faucet, while it is running or completely remove the solenoid and battery box assemblies and connect the faucet as standard pull-down faucet. Please review "Manual Bypass" section on page 44 of the below document, for diagram instructions. https://media.deltafaucet.com/QuickstartDiagram/QS-82180%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Tanya

My backsplash is too close. What can be done?

Can the Cassidy faucet cartridge and handle be installed at an angle increasing the forward motion while reducing the required clearance to the backsplash? If not, can the entire faucet be rotated in the mounting hole to move the handle forward?
Asked by: Steve
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9197T-DST has to have a minimum clearance to the backsplash of 2 1/2 inches. If you using a single hole mount, you can rotate the faucet so that the handle is in the front to avoid the handle hitting the backsplash. However, your hot and cold will then be side to side instead of back to front.

Lately the light has been flashing red 3 times when I touch the faucet to either turn it on or turn it off. Does anyone have any idea what this could be signaling? I replaced the batteries less than 6 months ago so that shouldn't be an issue.

Asked by: Don20
Thank you for your question, Don20! The only time a Delta Touch20 Faucet indicator will blink red three consecutive times is if the battery power is getting low. Please be sure all batteries are brand new, inserted in the correct direction, and that no wires are touching anything metallic, electronic or each other. We also only recommend Alkaline batteries as Lithium Ion batteries will not last as long. Please contact us directly if you need further assistance with this model and we'd be glad to help. Best regards, Edward

Can I put a Cassidy sprayer assembly on a Leland faucet?

Asked by: MS
Hello MS, Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the spray head assembly that comes with the faucet is the only one that will fit properly. Best Regards, Justin
