Rated 1 out of 5 by from Touch on/off system does not work properly When we received this faucet, the box was slightly damage on one corner. When I opened the box, there was a million very little metal balls loose in the box. In fact, the hose weight (plastic) was broken and half the balls were in the box. I had to use the metal, solid weight of the existing faucet I was replacing. The installation was really easy. The instructions are very clear and the provided wrench is very useful when you are under sink in a tight location. The pressure is good. The 3-function wand is nice and the magnet to keep it in place works well. The adjustment of the water temperature is not very progressive and it can be hard to find the right temperature between hot and cold. Now, here is the bad part that justifies the only one-star rating. This faucet has a mind of its own! The touch on/off function just does not work properly. The faucet goes on and off by itself without touching anything (i did not buy the touchless version). Only the non-rotating base of the faucet seems to turn on and off the faucet. A touch anywhere else (handle or spout) does not have any effect. The faucet can be on for 20 seconds then stop by itself for 3 seconds then turn on again for ten seconds then off a minute and turn on again (this is an example but it's all random). Also when pulling the wand down more than 3-4 inches, the faucet randomly turns off and then turns back on as soon as the wand moves upward. This is so ridiculous that I have disconnected the electrovalve and use it as a standard faucet. The problem is that I paid a high price for a faucet that does not do what it is supposed to. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

But, our faucet is 4 years now, and we had to essentially argue to get a replacement solenoid by year 3, and after another year it has gone out again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What junk! The only reason this faucet got 1 star is because 0 stars wasn't available. I am so disappointed, angry, and frustrated with this faucet. I cook a lot and I was so excited to have this "touch on" feature. I have spent far more money on plumbers bills to fix this faucet (multiple times) than its purchase price. I had this installed about 5 years ago. First, about two years in, I had water leaking from the handle. To Delta's credit, they sent me a replacement part free of charge, but the bill for the plumber was on me. Shortly after that the light that senses water temperature failed. I bought a new solenoid (a nearly $200 part) and paid the plumber's bill to replace it. Unfortunately, that did not solve the light issue -- the sensing for cold water worked, but the red light never worked again. I decided to ignore the temperature sensing malfunction since the faucet worked without it. Now, another two years down the road, the solenoid has failed again -- the "touch on" feature, which was the only reason I bought this faucet, no longer works. I could've paid a whole lot less for a conventional faucet, but the "touch on" feature was important to me. Something else to note: with the touch feature not working, regular use of the handle every day, all day, loosens the screw in the handle which makes the handle loose and flop around. The handle screw needs to be tightened weekly. TLDR: Save money and aggravation and buy another faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing at every turn I took comfort in the Delta name and lifetime warranty 9 years ago when I purchased my very first fancy touch faucet. About 6 months ago, while cleaning, it started its decline and ultimately became inoperable. Delta sent 2 sets of parts but the more I tinkered with the worse it got. Finally I received a new unit which was supposed to be an upgrade. Definitely not. A contractor installed last night and the touch worked perfectly. Today we’ve had to touch it up to 4 times to turn the unit on. The sprayer is weird and does not give a normal spray. Who wants 2 side sprays? The splashless option is pretty useless. The faucet doesn’t pull out smoothly like my previous unit but maybe that will wear down over time. The “upgraded” version style isn’t as modern looking with its handle as my previous version. So I am disappointed but after having no working faucet for 7 days I was grateful to be able to cook and clean the kitchen again. I’d love to share my video but only a YouTube video link is permitted.

However this joint effort was not successful so Delta shipped me a new faucet assembly without charge to replace our 5 year old faucet and I received it in 2 days. I could not have asked for a better experience and I don’t get to say that often. Delta has a lifetime customer with me.

No surprise burst of water on the arm (like other manufacturers have). I also really like the light on the bottom of the faucet to in dictate if the water is cold, warm or hot.

I hate the spray head on the faucet. 3 modes of spray and they are all puny. &nbsp;I had a Leland faucet that I got in 2007 in prior house. &nbsp;The spray was just 2 modes - regular or spray, Do you make a spray head like that that I could replace this one with?

Leland (9178T-RB-DST) touch faucet. At first install (08/09/2021) the touch functionality worked as designed. I could touch anywhere on the faucet. As of 3 days ago, only touching the base of the faucet is working. I use battery pack and plug.

I apologize for any difficulty finding this information. We are happy to help! Yes, this faucet can be used manually. One way is with the faucet running water, disconnect the battery pack by opening it. You now have a manually operated faucet. The solenoid was open allowing water to flow through and is now stuck open because you removed the power it would use to close. Reconnecting the battery would close the solenoid and make it electronic again. Also as a second option, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose from the solenoid. d. Remove the solenoid from the valve outlet tube by removing the clip or swinging the clip open. e. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the spout outlet nipple. My faucet will not run water. The batteries are good, and the light indicator lights up when touched. Water won't run despite anything I do. The dishwasher runs, and so I know the line is working. Any suggestions?

Why don't I have very little hot water pressure when I have good cold water pressure? Hot water source is open all the way. Been like this from the time it was installed.

DST Flush from underneath - This type of flushing requires to be under the sink. *Please gather one 5 GAL bucket and some towels for excess water. 1. Please shut off both hot and cold water supplies. 2. Remove the cold water line and point the line into the bucket. 3. Turn the hot water on and allow the water to flow into the bucket for about a minute. 4. Turn the hot water back off and install the cold water line correctly. 5. Remove the hot water line and point the line into the bucket. 6. Turn the cold water on and allow the water to flow into the bucket for about a minute. 7. Is it normal for the faucet to drip when not in use? It drips at least 1 gallon / hour.

Bought our Delta Faucet Leland 9178T-SP-DST in Nov 2020 and installed it on 2/3/2021...love the Touch2 O Pull-down Faucet with the 3-function sprayer but lately when I press 1 of the 3 function spray mode I'll get a mix of all 3 functions sprays instead.

My current faucet is 14.6 height without a plate, will this model fit

We have had the Leland faucet (9178T-SP-DST) for a few years now. We love it for the most part. Lately though the water flow has reduced significantly. When I take off the spray head, the water flows with normal pressure. Can you help?

The Touch Faucet only works if I touch the handle or at the bottom base area where the handle is not the spout area. I use C batteries and they are only 1 month old. Model 9178T-SP-DST (purchased 3/19)

To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you&rsquo;ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. When my faucet handle is in the on position but the water is off using the touch feature, water pools around the bottom of the faucet. If the handle is in the off position it doesn't leak. How can this be fixed?
