Flushed water came out full flow and clean. Most likely faucet came with a bad cartridge. Working with Amazon seller to swap out faucet. Will update review once this issue is resolved, but for now I would not recommend this faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rock1 from Poor product I purchased 538-SSMPU-DST single handle bathroom sink faucet from Build on 8 Nov. 2021 and had it installed by a professional plumber in April 2022. My complaint with this product is there is no side-to-side range for warm water. If the faucet is off and one pushes the lever straight up the faucet produces warm water. If one moves the lever to one side or the other even slightly, the faucet produces full hot or full cold depending on the direction the lever was moved. It's ridiculous. If I had small children at home I would have removed and returned the faucet. This is a poor design in my opinion. I also sent an email to Delta asking how to leave a review and they haven't bothered to reply. I've put Delta in my last 2 houses. This will be the last house I put Delta in. I will however buy from Build again. Their people did a wonderful job.

I’m using this in my bathroom and it fits under the medicine cabinet perfectly due to its height and the installation kit was perfect. It is not forgiving to shut it off must be in the exact shut off position so it won’t keep running. Highly recommend this product for several reasons, primarily its resistance to clog and ease of operation.

AND the plumber had a terrible time trying to install the drain stopper!!!! Ya know the little tiny PULL. We ended up buying a pop up drain, much much easier!!!!

We looked for a faucet with a stream far enough out into the sink that my husband can put his head under it to wash his hair. I wanted this distance because the water will splash all over the back of the sink if the faucet is too short. So many faucets are too short. This single- handled faucet is easy to clean. Easy to mix the temperature. Streamlined for cleaning and modern look. We are very happy with the design and reliability of these faucets. Delta 538-MPU-DST. Make installer gives you the aerator wrench so you can clean the aerator.

The drain system works great stays in place when open or closed. Installation was very easy loved the tool connected to the water hose for easy connecting. The hot cold dots fell off after about two weeks only bad thing but can live with that. Like the finish but with our hard water shows some spots.

I definitely give this product a thumbs up . I was a little intimidated by all the pieces once I received it and thought I started a project that was to tough but I DID IT and it works and looks great. Installation was a breeze with the easy step by step instructions. And it's functioning perfect . I recommend this quality product to anyone that wants to add a new look or who wants to replace there old one as this is definitely a great faucet.

Is there a plug available for the pop up lift rod hole in the back of the faucet?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #538-MPU-DST is one piece except it does have an optional 6-1/2 inch that can be added.

Plug for Pop up Lift Rod hole?

I ordered a facuet set in the champagne gold. It appears that it is going to fingerprint easily. Have you had any complaints?

is there a pop up drain with this faucet? or will you send something to put into the drain hole with this faucet?

Delta 538 SSMPU-DST The facet is loose. It moves to the left and right. I'd say 1/2 inch each way. Looking from underneath there is no way I can see to tighten it. HELP!
