I really just needed a new regulator for my current shower tap, but this new faucet design came with the regulator for the same price as the local hardware store wanted for just the regulator. The regulator installs fairly easy and the handle is a very nice upgrade from my original set-up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ccpcola from Easy installation and washer replacement I installed this on an existing valve (didn't want to have to tear open the wall to replace the valve.) Installation was quick and painless, and the temperature adjustment was straightforward. The faucet did drip at first, so I replaced the outer valve body with the new one and changed the rubber washers, which solved the problem. Now I know why our plumber recommends Delta products.

How you take off the handle

How do I increase the hot water? The anti-scald is set too low.

If you are not getting hot enough water from your Delta Windemere Valve Trim BT14096-OB unit, you would need to adjust the rotational limit stop on the top of your RP46074 cartridge. Have a delta monitor 1400 working great, wanting to replace the chrome trim kit Classic from1997, with a Windemere BT14296-SS . WORKS NOW WITH NO LEAKS ,so can I JUST POP OFF THE OLD CHROME TRIM KIT AND SCREW IN THE NEW TRIM, & use the old cart.

As long as the screw holes on your original 1400 series, large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then the Delta Windemere Shower Trim BT14296-SS will work with your original cartridge and valve. Compatible with Moen manifold?

I'm trying to replace my Moen with this delta lever but the existing manifold is for a Moen lever. I can't change the manifold so i was wondering if this would be able to attach to the existing manifold? Thank you.
