Hi, George! Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17438-RB Shower Arm measures 5 1/2" in length. We do have longer shower arms and all work with the shower head. For example, our Delta U4993-RB that measures 6" or the Delta RP40593RB that measures 7". We also do have 16" shower arms such as the RP46870RB. Best Regards, Rosanna

Hi Ron, Thank you for your question! You have a older 13/1400 series tub/shower. You will not be able to switch over to a T17 series without changing the valve body. Your unit can only use a T13 or T14 series trim but you will have to use an existing RP19804 valve cartridge and not the new multi choice cartridges included in our current trims. Hi Emily, Thank you for your question! To identify the original unit, directly below the handle there should be a series number on the escutcheon plate. This trim will work with existing 1700 series valves. However, you will need to use the existing cartridge (or RP32104) rather than the one that comes with the kit. Thanks, Jon

Hello, mjbphx. Thank you for your question! Water will flow to the tub spout first and can then be diverted to the shower head or hand shower. This is the recommended installation for a tub and shower setup. The T11900 6-Setting Diverter Trim Kit will allow you to use the third port of the R11000 Diverter Valve. You may connect a non-diverter tub spout to the R11000, but the flow rate will be reduced by about 1 GPM when compared to the bottom port of the R10000 valve. Best regards, Jon

I know that can be frustrating. We are happy to help! There would not be a cover on the faucet finish. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth.
