Rated 1 out of 5 by from Touch on/off system does not work properly When we received this faucet, the box was slightly damage on one corner. When I opened the box, there was a million very little metal balls loose in the box. In fact, the hose weight (plastic) was broken and half the balls were in the box. I had to use the metal, solid weight of the existing faucet I was replacing. The installation was really easy. The instructions are very clear and the provided wrench is very useful when you are under sink in a tight location. The pressure is good. The 3-function wand is nice and the magnet to keep it in place works well. The adjustment of the water temperature is not very progressive and it can be hard to find the right temperature between hot and cold. Now, here is the bad part that justifies the only one-star rating. This faucet has a mind of its own! The touch on/off function just does not work properly. The faucet goes on and off by itself without touching anything (i did not buy the touchless version). Only the non-rotating base of the faucet seems to turn on and off the faucet. A touch anywhere else (handle or spout) does not have any effect. The faucet can be on for 20 seconds then stop by itself for 3 seconds then turn on again for ten seconds then off a minute and turn on again (this is an example but it's all random). Also when pulling the wand down more than 3-4 inches, the faucet randomly turns off and then turns back on as soon as the wand moves upward. This is so ridiculous that I have disconnected the electrovalve and use it as a standard faucet. The problem is that I paid a high price for a faucet that does not do what it is supposed to. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Touch faucet can be a problem I bought this "touch" faucet, but you cannot just turn it on. You must touch it for it to come to life. So what happens when the battery for the solenoid is dead: it will not turn on, If you are using the adaptor plug and power goes out, I believe it will not turn on. That's what the people at Delta told me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Love doesn't last We love the touch feature, we live by it, and find ourselves tapping sinks everywhere we go that is not our kitchen. But, our faucet is 4 years now, and we had to essentially argue to get a replacement solenoid by year 3, and after another year it has gone out again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What junk! The only reason this faucet got 1 star is because 0 stars wasn't available. I am so disappointed, angry, and frustrated with this faucet. I cook a lot and I was so excited to have this "touch on" feature. I have spent far more money on plumbers bills to fix this faucet (multiple times) than its purchase price. I had this installed about 5 years ago. First, about two years in, I had water leaking from the handle. To Delta's credit, they sent me a replacement part free of charge, but the bill for the plumber was on me. Shortly after that the light that senses water temperature failed. I bought a new solenoid (a nearly $200 part) and paid the plumber's bill to replace it. Unfortunately, that did not solve the light issue -- the sensing for cold water worked, but the red light never worked again. I decided to ignore the temperature sensing malfunction since the faucet worked without it. Now, another two years down the road, the solenoid has failed again -- the "touch on" feature, which was the only reason I bought this faucet, no longer works. I could've paid a whole lot less for a conventional faucet, but the "touch on" feature was important to me. Something else to note: with the touch feature not working, regular use of the handle every day, all day, loosens the screw in the handle which makes the handle loose and flop around. The handle screw needs to be tightened weekly. TLDR: Save money and aggravation and buy another faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing at every turn I took comfort in the Delta name and lifetime warranty 9 years ago when I purchased my very first fancy touch faucet. About 6 months ago, while cleaning, it started its decline and ultimately became inoperable. Delta sent 2 sets of parts but the more I tinkered with the worse it got. Finally I received a new unit which was supposed to be an upgrade. Definitely not. A contractor installed last night and the touch worked perfectly. Today we’ve had to touch it up to 4 times to turn the unit on. The sprayer is weird and does not give a normal spray. Who wants 2 side sprays? The splashless option is pretty useless. The faucet doesn’t pull out smoothly like my previous unit but maybe that will wear down over time. The “upgraded” version style isn’t as modern looking with its handle as my previous version. So I am disappointed but after having no working faucet for 7 days I was grateful to be able to cook and clean the kitchen again. I’d love to share my video but only a YouTube video link is permitted.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Delta faucet At installation the Delta Faucet there was a slight drip / leak coming from the handle . The plumber who installed the faucet to check it and saw no issues. The faucet continues to leak. The plumber will return to replace the cartridge to determine if this is the problem. Disappointed for such a good brand and quality faucet

Can this be installed with the handle on the left side?

Asked by: Michelle1923
Hi, Michelle1923! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the left, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. How to clean the sprayer?

We are having issues with the Leland series bathroom faucets and the aerator clogging up from our well water. You were so gracious to send the tool I was missing to remove the aerator on my 3 bathroom faucets so I can clean them out. All working like new again. So just to see the same tools works on this kitchen sink, removed and cleaned out much better water flow. My question is how do you clean out the sprayer part of the Pull Down faucet? Also on the spa tub Leland faucet the parts list does not show any way to take off the aerator to clean it, does it need a special tool like the others?
Asked by: Donna
Hi Donna, Thank you for your question. You can clean the wand by unscrewing it from the hose to check the back. You can soak the head in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution and flush backwards through it with water. The high arc Leland Roman Tub Faucet T2775 uses the stream straightener, which takes a wrench tool, RP52593. The stream straightener on lower spout model T2778 will unscrew by hand. Best regards, Jon

third question is related to LED light. It has never changed temps. It is always red?? Thanks for your help

Asked by: Joe P
Hi, Joe P! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta faucet. We recommend to reset the LED light wire and battery pack. To do this, disconnect the LED light wire from the solenoid. Disconnect the battery pack. Wait a full minute. While you are waiting a full minute, you can check batteries and see if they are in good condition, even try new batteries. Make sure they're all in the correct direction and tightly secured in the battery pack. After a full minute, reconnect the LED light wire into the solenoid and then reconnect the battery pack. Wait another full minute. After the full minute, you can then check your faucet and see if the blue light works better. If this does not, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. What is wrong with a Delta Leland kitchen faucet with a RP50587 cartridge when you pull the handle straight down and it won't shut off? I have to push it up to the right and then pull down to cut off the water. This faucet when new has not worked right.

Asked by: Donald
Hi, Donald. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. We recommend to clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Unscrew the bonnet nut. Pull the valve cartridge out and clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587. You can compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Best regards, Tanya

Can you recommend a drain that would match the bronze finish?

Asked by: Lisa
Hello Lisa, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, Delta does not manufacture any kitchen drain assemblies in the Venetian Bronze finish at this time, that would work with the Leland Touch2O Pull-Down Kitchen 9178T-RB-DST faucet. Best regards, Tanya

Can the touch20 technology be hard-wired instead of using batteries?

Asked by: Mark
Hello Mark, Thanks for your question! If you have a touch faucet manufactured in 2015 or after, or you have the Generation 3 Solenoid, you will be able to use the EP73954 power supply to connect your Touch 2.0 Technology Faucet to the house electrical current. I hope this helps!

second issue with our 9178T-DST - it seems to be loose at the base. How do we tighten it without damaging the device. It was professionally installed about six months ago.

Asked by: Joe P
Hi, Joe P! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a loosened faucet base. We do recommend to tighten the mounting nut with the provided wrench. If you're needing a new wrench or a wrench and nut, we recommend to order RP92714. Best Regards, Rosanna

Dear Delta, We recently ordered a 9178T-SP-DST from Home Depot after looking up the P/N on the Delta website. After ordering, we realized the Home Depot site does not say anything about ShieldSpray. Has the 9178T-SP-DST always had ShieldSpray?

Asked by: Chambersohana
Hi, Chambersohana! Thank you for your question. The 9178T-SP-DST did not have ShieldSpray technology unitl Winter of 2017. Best Regards, Rosanna

For the last ~2 months, the lt @ the base flashed red when start/stopping the water (indicating a necessary battery change), but worked fine. After no use for a few days the faucet wouldn't work in touch or manual mode until new batteries. Is this normal?

Asked by: boilerbob
Hi, boilerbob! Thank you for your question. This is normal. Batteries would need to be changed when the red light is flashing and won't turn on manually for the Delta 9178T-SP-DST faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

With model 9178T-AR-DST which finish, the Arctic Stainless or the Spot Shield Stainless would match better with GE profile stainless appliances?

The GE stainless has a hint of gold color in their stainless. Should we just try and match the stainless steel sink or the appliances?
Asked by: Mark
Hi Mark, Thank you for your question. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, with more blue in the color spectrum. Our SpotShield Stainless finish has a warmer tone. Best regards, Jon

Model 9178T-DST. I do not get enough water pressure on my kitchen faucet as it was before. Is any part that I should change or has to be clean inside some where taking it apart? Hope that someone can help me with this issue.

Asked by: Rick
Hello Rick, Thank you for your question. We would recommend flushing the supply lines of your faucet. To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket. Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp. Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full. Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply. Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time. Move handle to off position. Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need.
