RESEÑAS
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Love doesn't last We love the touch feature, we live by it, and find ourselves tapping sinks everywhere we go that is not our kitchen. But, our faucet is 4 years now, and we had to essentially argue to get a replacement solenoid by year 3, and after another year it has gone out again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What junk! The only reason this faucet got 1 star is because 0 stars wasn't available. I am so disappointed, angry, and frustrated with this faucet. I cook a lot and I was so excited to have this "touch on" feature. I have spent far more money on plumbers bills to fix this faucet (multiple times) than its purchase price. I had this installed about 5 years ago. First, about two years in, I had water leaking from the handle. To Delta's credit, they sent me a replacement part free of charge, but the bill for the plumber was on me. Shortly after that the light that senses water temperature failed. I bought a new solenoid (a nearly $200 part) and paid the plumber's bill to replace it. Unfortunately, that did not solve the light issue -- the sensing for cold water worked, but the red light never worked again. I decided to ignore the temperature sensing malfunction since the faucet worked without it. Now, another two years down the road, the solenoid has failed again -- the "touch on" feature, which was the only reason I bought this faucet, no longer works. I could've paid a whole lot less for a conventional faucet, but the "touch on" feature was important to me. Something else to note: with the touch feature not working, regular use of the handle every day, all day, loosens the screw in the handle which makes the handle loose and flop around. The handle screw needs to be tightened weekly. TLDR: Save money and aggravation and buy another faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing at every turn I took comfort in the Delta name and lifetime warranty 9 years ago when I purchased my very first fancy touch faucet. About 6 months ago, while cleaning, it started its decline and ultimately became inoperable. Delta sent 2 sets of parts but the more I tinkered with the worse it got. Finally I received a new unit which was supposed to be an upgrade. Definitely not. A contractor installed last night and the touch worked perfectly. Today we’ve had to touch it up to 4 times to turn the unit on. The sprayer is weird and does not give a normal spray. Who wants 2 side sprays? The splashless option is pretty useless. The faucet doesn’t pull out smoothly like my previous unit but maybe that will wear down over time. The “upgraded” version style isn’t as modern looking with its handle as my previous version. So I am disappointed but after having no working faucet for 7 days I was grateful to be able to cook and clean the kitchen again. I’d love to share my video but only a YouTube video link is permitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great products with outstanding customer service! We had a problem with our touch kitchen faucet and customer service walked me through the diagnostics to resolve. However this joint effort was not successful so Delta shipped me a new faucet assembly without charge to replace our 5 year old faucet and I received it in 2 days. I could not have asked for a better experience and I don’t get to say that often. Delta has a lifetime customer with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the features. With a touch the water comes on and with a long hold the water either stays on (if was already on) or if just moving the faucet, the water will stay off. No surprise burst of water on the arm (like other manufacturers have). I also really like the light on the bottom of the faucet to in dictate if the water is cold, warm or hot.

The faucet drips after touch shutoff even with new batteries - does the solenoid need to be replaced?

Asked by: Truckeejim
Hello Truckeejim, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company. I am sorry to hear that your Leland® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Chrome MODEL#: 9178T-DST is leaking, which can be very frustrating. I am so glad that you contacted us, so we can get this taken care of for you! The leak when off you are experiencing appears to be caused by debris within the solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. Please follow the below steps to resolve your drip: 1. Put the handle in the off position. 2. Remove the blue clip that is attached to the top of the solenoid assembly below the sink. 3. Pull the solenoid off of the faucet connection. Remove the debris screen in the top connection if able, and clear any debris with tweezers or a q-tip. 4. Set a bucket under the PEX supply line that is exposed. 5. Place the handle in the on position and allow it to run water for 2 full minutes. This will clear the supply line out of any debris. 6. Put the handle back into the off position. 7. Reconnect the solenoid to the faucet and clip it back into place. 8. Now remove the bottom clip from the solenoid where the hose connects and pull the hose off. 9. Turn the water back on for an additional 2 minutes to clear the solenoid assembly of any remaining debris. 10. Reconnect the hose and clip it into place again. Once that is finished, turn the water onto the faucet and run it for 15 seconds. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

After installing my new faucet the hot water is not very hot.

Asked by: tom g
Hello tom g, Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the low hot flow you are experiencing with your Delta faucet and I am happy to help you. Reduced flow is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

I have a 9178T-RB-DST Touch with a power adapter. It has been installed for a couple years and has run fine. Recently it started being slow to shut the flow of water off, going from almost instantly to approximately a second. I've replaced the batteries.

Asked by: Andy
Hi Andy, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Resetting the solenoid could resolve this issue with your LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet MODEL#: 9178T-DST. To reset the solenoid, remove the lid to the battery box and the black LED wire from the side of the solenoid (and unplug the AC adapter from the solenoid, if you have that optional accessory). Let it sit for at least 2 minutes. Reattach the lid to the battery box and plug the LED wire back into the solenoid (you should hear or feel it click when it is fully inserted). If the issue persists, please clean/flush the solenoid. To clean the filter basket/screen, please turn the handle to the off position. You will need a paper towel or two. Disconnect the clip from the top hose going into the solenoid. Look into the top solenoid valve you should see a white/blue debris screen or basket. It should simply unscrew or, depending on the model, you may need to take a pair of needle-nose pliers (or tweezers) and pull the small debris basket/screen out. Clean the debris screen by rinsing it. If the screen does not remove easily, use a swab with white vinegar and water to wipe the screen clean of any debris. Place the basket/screen back into the solenoid and reinsert the top tube into the solenoid, making sure the clip is securing the hose (tube) to the solenoid. Please reach out with further questions! We’ve had to flush out the small blue filter in the touch sensor 4x in 2 months since purchase. Small flat shiny dark brown sediment collects there causing decr flow. Not new home, not calcification/rust (no other faucets have same problem). How to fix?

I have had Leland touch faucet since March 2020 and it has worked great. Recently the touch feature started becoming inconsistent, so I replaced the batteries twice. Still not working with touch. Suggestions? Please help!

Asked by: Scooter13
Hi Scooter13, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. There are a couple of common adjustments that can be made to improve the operation of our Delta Faucet Leland® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Arctic Stainless MODEL#: 9178T-AR-DST. Please make sure any wires are isolated from the solenoid box, the water supply lines, and anything else that might conduct electricity. If space is limited, we recommend a minimum of two inches of clearance, if possible. We also recommend placing the battery pack flat on the floor or as close to the ground at your feet as possible. The battery pack should have at least 2 inches of clearance from the walls or anything that can conduct electricity below the counter, as the pack is also touch-sensitive. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

The faucet automatically shuts off if it hasn't been touched in 4 minutes. Is there a way to override this feature? (I like to keep my faucet dripping slowly during especially cold/freezing weather.)

Asked by: kmote
Hi kmote, Thank you for your question about this Touch2O faucet! The faucet can be used manually so that it will not turn off automatically and can be left to drip. One way is to disconnect the battery cap while the water is flowing. The solenoid valve will then stay open and the faucet can be used manually. Or, using a bucket to catch excess water and with the handle closed, disconnect the hoses above and below the solenoid and then clip the hoses together. Check that the clip is over the shoulders of the hose connection and pull down to ensure the connection is secure. I purchased the Delta AC Power Supply Adapter, but the faucet doesn't seem to want to work without batteries, even with the AC adapter connected. Why isn't it working?

I notice that the delta models that have a ball like handle, Overland/Leland, control hot water by pushing the handle back while the L shaped handles, Dominic/Charmaine, control hot water by pushing the handle forward. Is this by design or am I mistaken?

I apologize for any difficulty finding this information. We are happy to help! To increase the hot water, the user will push the handle back or away. A faucet model with a more perpendicular handle uses a Euro-motion valve cartridge. For example, the Charmaine 19962TZ-SD-DST will increase the hot water by pulling the handle forward. My pull down spray nozzle on this faucet is not staying up in place when retracted. The magnet to hold the spray nozzle in place is not working anymore. I received this faucet in December of 2021 on reference number 901323.
