Hi Clyde, Thank you for your question. This faucet has a 1 3/32" maximum deck thickness, which works with most standard counter tops. Dear Sue, Thank you for your question. If a stopper does not lift straight out, it is being held in by the horizontal rod. Behind the drain pipe under the sink is a horizontal rod connected to the lift rod via the strap. The horizontal rod is held in place by a nut. Remove the nut and pull the horizontal rod straight away from the pipe about an inch. The stopper should now come free of the drain. Best regards, Tanya

Model 3595LF is intended for the handles to turn whichever way you would prefer as the raised stops can be turned to the opposite side on both stem units in order to accommodate both handle rotation options. An "LHP" model, which stands for "Less Handles Program", will include the spout and valves, but not the handles which are sold separately to provide some additional styling choices.
