Shower head started leaking out of the seams after 3 months. Delta replaced the shower head in March and the replacement head is doing the same thing after 3 months. In the midst of working with Delta to get another replacement. There are definitely quality control issues.

The shower head is quite large and the shower is great. Quite pricey as showers go, but the finish- ours is chrome looks beautiful. A quick wipe is all you need to keep it clean. After spending $$ on a new bathroom- I'm glad I went with this- it stands out and looks classy. One more thing- if you are tall- make sure to measure for correct height. We had a plumber install the set .

I called Delta and they replaced it. It might be just a rare thing because all the other Delta items are working great.

I was concerned about the force of the water, not quite as strong as I'd like it, but it is still better than a lot of the rain shower heads I've used before. I love the preset temperature feature, well worth the added cost. Looks great, nice and solid, even the plumber who installed it was impressed.

Also had the plumber cut the shower head arm in half as it comes extremely long. I wouldn't purchase this product again.

Do you need to purchase a universal Shower Valve Body separtely with the T17253 ??

Is there a Shower only valve that is recommended (no tub).

Step 1 covers the depth at which the valve should be plumbed to insure that the trim mounts properly. Thank you for your question, Hamid! Model T17253 has a shower head with a 2.5 gpm flow rate @ 80 PSI. Because the shower head is not WaterSense labeled, it can not be sold in, or shipped to the state of California. However, Model T17253-WE has the exact same design, and includes a shower head that is WaterSense labeled. Suitable installation height from floor to shower head for T17253?

I would like to know what the normal height from floor to shower head is to install for T17253.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253 does not include the valve in the box. It does need to be purchased separately. We recommend the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve.

What diverters and valves do I need to add a handshower to this?

Thank you for your question. When adding a hand shower to your existing faucet, we would recommend using Delta Faucet model #R11000 diverter rough and Delta Faucet model #T11853 3-setting 2-port diverter trim.
